Beep! Beep!
Its finally here, the start of a new season. There are not two teams in the league with more different styles of play than the Warriors and Jazz For that matter, no two coaches are more different than Jerry Sloan and Don Nelson.
The Jazz do like to run but must have a good shot or they will pull the ball out and work one of their half court "sets". Jerry does a great job of selling the way he wants the game to be played. Take good shots, know your assignments on offense and "D" and don't cheat the game, play hard all the time.
The big difference in the two teams is Golden State takes shots the Jazz probably would never take but will play just as hard. Nellie's style of play is quite loose BUT don't let that fool you, he is a great coach and knows exactly how he is going to do things. You are going to see two Hall of Fame coaches in action tonight.

Next time I want to write about changes in officiating. You may have seen that Stu Jackson and Ronnie Nunn were relieved of some of their duties re: officiating philosophy and rightly so by the way. Stay tuned for my next blog.
