FINAL SCORE JAZZ 117 WARRIORS 96
Fantastic performance by the Utah Jazz.   This has to excite you as a fan.  Come out to Energy Solutions this week, this team is worth watching.
D-Will and Booz are unreal.  They were both fantastic.  D-Will had 24-4-8 and Boozer notched 32-15.
They were both unstoppable.
The game changed off the bench in the second quarter with Gordan, CJ and Milsap on the floor.
The Jazz defense was very very good after the 1st quarter.  They eliminated the dribble penetration.
This is a good win the Warriors were 31-10 at home last year.
The Jazz stayed focus most of the night playing the game they wanted instead of the Warriors games.
AK had an amazing defensive night.  He had 4 blocks in the 3rd quarter when the Jazz offense fell apart and his defense kept the Jazz in control.
Brewer and Gordan were both very good.
The only concern was that Jason Hart didn't look capable as the back up point and Okur was a no-show.
Impressive that Okur can be a no show and you still win by 21.
This was incredibly impressive.

5:40 4th Quarter Jazz 104 Warriors 89
Warriors are on a 11-2 run.
Jazz broke out of the game plan for a moment and it has put them in bad defensive positions.
Good offensive execution leaves you in a good position to get back defensively when you go one on one or break the offense you are vulnerable to the break. That is what has happened.
Jazz just need to tighten the screws and play good D and execute on O  for about 4 possessions.

REACTION TO COMMENTS
Luke star --  Yes Hart really struggled today.
Brewer has been great, but I don't think he has a back to the basket game and I am concerned that when you play a team with more of a defensive focus these looks won't be there.  His jumper isn't close.
Cupids -- The bench was great in the second quarter very similar to last year.
Bags - Booz's touch is remarkable.  He is really special.  The two main guys on this team are big time.

9:17 4th Quarter --Jazz 95 Warriors 76
Wow.  This is an awesome performance by the Jazz.
Deron Williams is amazing.
The Warriors penetration game is gone.  The Jazz D has been terrific.
This is a full fledge butt kicking.  GREAT EFFORT

End of 3rd Quarter Jazz 86 Warriors 72
Huge 3 play sequence.  Warriors got to within 9.  Then Brewer steals the inbound pass and goes for a dunk.  After a stop Milsap steals an offensive rebound and puts it back in. Then Milsap gets fouled on a rebound and makes it a little 5-0 run.
Jason Hart was an unmitigated disaster.  Williams had to re-enter as the game was slipping away.
Okur has been terrible tonight.
AK's defense was unreal in the 3rd Quarter - he had 4 blocks
Booz never got going on Harrington.

5:19 3rd Quarter Jazz 74 Warriors 64

Wow is this ugly.  The Jazz have 7 turns in the Quarter.  They turned it over on 5 of the first 8 possessions of the Quarter.
AK has kept the Jazz in the lead with 3 blocks at the rim in the quarter
Ronnie Brewer is moving great without the ball.
Huge 3 by Deron.
Harrington is on Boozer and Booz is having a hard time getting free.
Pietrus is giving the Jazz fits, Booz has the match-up and has 3 fouls and won't go out on him.

Haltime Jazz 62 Warriors 51
Minor surge to close the half by the Warriors.
Jazz had Williams, Boozer and Okur all on the bench with foul trouble and things unraveled a bit
Baron Davis has become an outside shooter which is good.
Boozer has 18; Brewer has 10; Williams has 10
Ellis has 11.  Warriors are just 3 of 11 from three

2:57 2nd Quarter Jazz 58 Warriors 43
The Jazz defense has been amazing this quarter lead by Gordan and AK
AK is dominating the game with his defensive hands and activity
The bench did it.  It is a re-play of last year then the Jazz bench was the key to wins
The Jazz scored offensively on 9 straight possessions and on 14 of 17 at one point
The run got to be as big as 18-2
D-Will has 3 fouls as does Okur.
Boozer is unguardable.
Warriors TV half time show is about how much closer the playoff series was than 4-1.
Warriors are 13/21 from the line

9:16 2nd Quarter = Jazz 38 Warriors 31
Jazz on a 10-0 Run.  Deron is taking over and crushing Troy Hudson.
CJ Miles came off the bench and gave a boost.
Okur got his third foul on the first play of the half.
Defense is the key.
Great defense by Gordan on Baron forced a turnover.  Super block by AK on Baron.
Jazz took their first free throw of the game on the 3rd possession of the 2nd quarter

End of 1 Quarter Warriors 30 Jazz 28
Foul Trouble is an issue both Okur and Boozer have 2 fouls.  Both picked up silly second fouls.
Ronni Brewer played very well offensively.  He moved with the ball to get easy baskets inside, His jumper was no where close.
Boozer is dominant and the Warriors have no answer.
Penetration is killing the Jazz..  The Jazz have to find a way to stop the dribble drive.
The Bench played well for the most part.  Jazz were down 1 when Deron Williams went out.
Harpring played and has had a positive impact.

5:00 1st Quarter Jazz 16 Warriors 16
As Coach Nissalke guessed the Warriors cross matched with Ellis on D-Will. The Jazz stayed that way on the defensive end so Brewer has Baron.
Warriors were getting into the paint at will early but lost their focus and started bombing
The Jazz are getting easy looks anytime they run the offense.  The Warriors won't defend for 24 seconds.
AK's on ball defense has been very poor.
Jazz have scored on 4 straight possessions.
Okur out with two fouls.

Opening Tip -- Jazz 0 Warriors 0

Starters: Jazz = Williams, Brewer, AK, Boozer and Okur
Warriors = Davis, Ellis, Kelanna Azubujey, Mickael Pietrus, Andris Biedrins

Officials -- Ron Garretson, Mark Ayotte and J.. Phillips

Inactives - Morris Almond and Fesenko

Keys to  Jazz Win

1) Dominate the Glass because the Warriors don't board
2) Go to the Free Throw Line
3) Stay even on the bench
4) Outscore Warriors when Baron is on the bench

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
Locke,

does Brewer have a back to the basket game? He definetly has the height advantage over Ellis.

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
Hart seems to struggle getting the team into the offense. The backup PG is going to be a problem this year.

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
How about that high flying offense of Adelmann down in Houston. Only 16 points in the first quarter.

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
The bench has looked pretty good. Millsap seems to be much more involved in the offense in the post besides just cleaning up. Do you think they plan to run plays for him more often this season or is he still just a clean up guy for them?

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
The bench is capitalizing on turnovers and keeping the distance. CJ is getting good minutes and making the most of his opportunity, still looks offensivly first then pass, in my opinion that needs to change. This is the first time I've seen Hart, he looks tough and he has an attitude.

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
Wow Matt Barnes is a punk, what a cheap player I hope Big Paul smacks him around!

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
It continues to amaze me how good Carlos Boozer is around the hoop. He may be the most efficiant big man in the league from 10 feet and in. Right hand, left hand it doens't matter. Power or a great soft touch, no worries. The ability to do all these things and do them well makes him (as Locke said) unguardable around the hoop. Locke talked earlier in the preseason about how he felt that Booz may have another step to his game. Maybe we are going to see it.

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
Switching to the other game going on...I'm actually rooting for Houston, that's what Kobe does to me. i watch the body language of laker teammates and I truely believe the season won't end with him in a Laker uni.

Re: Live Blog -- Jazz v. Warriors
Seemed as if Sloan ran several plays with the intent to get AK the ball. I hope he doesn't forget Memo. I only saw the High C (pick and memo spotting up for 3) ran once. Golden State has no defense whatsoever....so it won't be this easy the rest of the way. Great Job Jazz and you too DL!
