Re: BREAKING NEWS - Jazz Trade Gordon Giricek for Kyle Korver
Is it time to evaluate the status of Jerry Sloan and consider a different role for Jerry? Players are always in the doghouse, the team lacks chemistry and coaching leadership. The foreign players are the current problem for Jerry. In the past, it was guys like Blue Edwards, Eric Murdock, Chris Morris, the all white state of Utah sided with Jerry. Racial bias? I think so. Now the foreign players, Memo, AK, and Giro, who is the next victim of Jerry's poor people skills? Do we have a bias again? I think so, not racial but certainly social. Ostertag? Bias? Sure but Jerry got a pass because Tag was considered just a dumb white guy? Jerry has been here longer than any other coach in sports. There is a reason, but are they good reasons? When is old school too old? The game has changed and Jerry still has his stubborn patterns of the past. A past that has not produced a championship. A past lacking player development. A past that was created by Frank Layden, John Stockton, and Karl Malone. And a past that, without Larry Millers patience, would not exist. He has show a pattern with all players to have desire to be in their face. This doesnt work with the modern player. It is out of place in our society. How do the current successful businessmen treat their people? And I mean the 20 something managers like the CEOs of Google, myspace, facebook, youtube,, yahoo? It is very different than Jerry Sloan. Jerry is managing these 20 somethings and they are worlds apart. Jerry showed a great deal of immaturity and a pattern of being a poor coach with the Giro situation. I have listened to his interview about Giro coming back twice on thefansports.com. He is bitter about the return of Giro. The Laker game and not playing Giro or showing he supports Giro being back was obvious. Jerry needs a new role and I know he has a John Deere tractor in Illinois waiting for his immediate return. An old school John Deere, with problems that Jerry will blame on someone else.
