Do these awful losses have anything to do with the travel schedule? It seems like the games where they get into a city the night before are always sluggish and slow. I mean, are these guys staying out all night?
And the question of leadership: Why won't D-Will step up? In my mind, he's the only championship-caliber player on the team. Maybe the Jazz should move some of their pieces and try it out with other up-and-comers. Can you imagine a guy like Horford playing with D-Will? That guy would run through a wall for his team. Boozer can't even play defense! Sure, he'll get his 30+ against a defenseless team -- but ask him to rip out the other team's jugular, and... he's not up for it.
I didn't get to see the game, but I listened to parts of it and read your game summary, and... how dispiriting. Especially given the stakes.
Too bad.

Until this team takes a real professional approach, and comes to play every night, it will underachieve. For some reason this year, this team has just been happy to drift for a few games, then put together a good run, then drift again. They can get up for big opponents, or elevate their game when slighted (see Deron and All-Star game), but you can not count on that motivation for every game. You have to learn to play to win every single night, no matter the opponent. And especially in the West this year. One loss could equal a 7 seed instead of a 4. Or home court.
Keep this up, and it will be a short run in the playoffs this year.
