Jazz win Game 4 -- You React
1320, K-Fan - Live with the Utah Jazz
Wow what a game.  My stomach is still churning.  What are your thoughts on the win. How about Deron's dunk or Memo's free throws.   The defense on McGrady or the Rockets never ending effort.

Put your thoughts in the comment section

Extended Jazz coverage tonight on 1320, K-Fan.

Monday on Locked on Sports catch ESPN broadcaster Rick Carlisle plus Jeff Hornacek and the Fab 5 at 5.

Re: Jazz win Game 4 -- You React
Wow, waaaaaay too close. The Jazz gave Houston every opportunity to stay in the game. And give the Rockets credit, they played hard in the second half and hit some pretty amazing three pointers.

Still... hearing the crowd chant OVERRATED was maybe the sweetest moment of the series so far.

The second sweetest moment was Deron's dunk, but the sheen on that one kinda' dulled when he missed those two late free throws.

Still, this is four straight nailbiters. You can bet game 5 will be much the same. But the Jazz are going to have to make threes to stay in it on the road.

How many were in and out tonight? Four? Five? And why was Memo so tentative in taking his? He had at least two or three opportunities where he threw the ball away in the fourth quarter.

That's another thing: The Jazz were just a little too careless with the ball tonight. I can recall at few bad passes from AK, Harpring, Memo -- even DWill!

Seeing Booze hit his free throws this game was a nice thing. The ESPN team was making a BIG deal about how Boozer had practiced his FTs.

Anyway. Good game. The crowd was nice tonight. The Bear sure has some nifty mascot stuff he does. Not that it's relevant in a post to a playoff post, but every time we'd get back from commercial, you'd see the Bear dunking thruogh a flaming hoop, or towering above the crowd in a scissor lift, or sliding down the stairs.... great mascot. The Jazz are lucky. I watched a lot of NBA games this season and I would have to say Bear is abuot as good as they get. Most of them are lame.

Alright, that's enough rambling. I am GLAD it's 3-1, but I need a fresh pair of undies!

...and one more thing: How scary do the Lakers look? Are the Nuggets that bad? Or are the Lakers just blowing them out? I just saw the highlight package on ESPN and it looks like the Nuggets really suck, but...... man the Lakers look tough. BUt enough talk about that! I don't wanna jinx the Jazz!

What's up with McGrady disrespecting Deron on the podium? What a loser.

Hey Jerry SLOWN! Is it playoff time yet? Where is your playoff rotation? Andre Kirilenko only plays 28 minutes! Interesting how Jerry says "he loves this kind of basketball" referring to the defense first slow pace style and Deron Williams says "we don't like to win this way" referring to the sputtering offense. Uh can someone please tell Slown to setup a three point shot instead of just a desperation last second in the shot clock three! Good tough win but time to tweak the machine just a little bit.

Absolutely crazy!I can not believe Tracy Mcgradey or is it MacGrady? Pulled out a slam on D-Will! Wow, at least it will just pour more fuel on the fire for D-Will. I was glad to see Deron didn't stoop to his level in his post game interview, he can leave thatto us fans. I was thinking this series would go to game 6 butnow after Googly Eye's comment I think we win in Houston!
Go Jazz!

McGrady is just another case of so-called NBA superstars having superstar-i-tous. If McGrady had any repect for any one besides himself he would know his competition especially his name. What a joke!

Locke- Why doesn't Ronnie Brewer get more time he starts off great the last two games and hardly plays after that?

Re: Jazz win Game 4 -- You React
It's da Playoffs, bay-bee!! If the Jazz announcer would have looked into his crystal ball and announced pre-game that in Game 4 the Jazz would shoot 0-14 from beyond the arc, and that Booze would score just 2 points in the 2nd half, I'll bet you that half the fans at the ESA would have been out on 400 West looking to give their tickets away to the first homeless dude they saw. That wasn't just any game -- that was a vintage playoff scrum between two teams that wanted the "Dub-yuh". Props to the Rockets for not mailing it in after the Jazz went up by 16. Huge props to the Jazz who played through one of the worst offensive nights that I have seen in a long time, and laid some world-class "D" on McGrandie, or McGoober, or McGundy -- how do you pronounce his name??

OK, my ears have stopped ringing and I have my voice back. So, riddle me this, Batman...

What's with the refs and the ESA security wonks in the playoffs?? First they toss Da Doctor from Game 3 for "offensive language". I sat three rows behind him on Saturday, and asked him what he said that got him run. He told me he yelled that the ref's call was Bull-S**t. So, on Saturday, another fan three seats down on my row gets pulled in by Security and given a warning for his "offensive language". They told him that, while they didn't hear him over all of the yelling after one questionable call, they DID read his lips yelling "Bull-S**t! What's up with THAT??! I've been to Mavs, Lakers, Celtics, and Suns games this year in their buildings. The things I heard fans shouting at refs made what the Doc said seem like a term of endearment. Since when did the league start protecting those hyper-sensitive refs from honest assessments of their lame calls? The Doc and the fan at Saturday's game didn't question the refs' sexual orientation, make threatening comments about their families, or lob racial slurs. If the term "BS" is acceptable on primetime TV, then why shouldn't fans be able to express their assessments of bad calls with that same term?? And if ESA security is bent on lip-reading, why don't they trot out a warning to half the players whose expressions of frustration are most often punctuated with an obvious F-bomb.

I don't want to see the Rockets again! I'm afraid that rust spores or aliens will crawl out of Scola's stringy mop. That will mean that the Jazz got their O back on-track again and continued to pound the D. Besides, I can't wait for the reprise of McGruff's cry-baby meltdown. Jazz in 5!!!

Re: Jazz win Game 4 -- You React
As well as the Jazz have played the story of this series is how bad a player and teammate Tracy McGrady has become. I thought it was bush league of him to diss Deron like that, especially considering Deron is owning the Rockets in the 4th. Even worse was how he threw Carl Landry under the bus, saying he mis-timed his leap on that final rebound. Hey, T-Mac, check the replay, Landry had Memo boxed out and had the rebound until you decided to try to tip it away with one hand. But all Jazz fans thank you for finding new and inventive ways to choke in the clutch.
