Best of DJ and PK: 0723
DJ and PK Mornings 6-10am
DJ and PK talk about former Utah State standout Jaycee Carol and his play in the NBA summer leagues.  They think Carol has a good shot because he won't cause trouble and his teammates seem to like him.  They compare Julius Hodge to a bowling ball.

Re: Best of DJ and PK: 0723
Can we stop pronouncing Fes dead yet? Kosta has played almost 5 mins more spread out over 4 games, yet has taken 17 more shots and gotten to the FT line one less time than Kyrylo. Fess is shooting 50% from FG range, and Kosta is shooting 31%. Kosta fouls more, blocks less, steals less and they have the same # of apg of 0.8. Furthermore, Kosta's numbers are a sham, getting many boards on the same play, and getting boards off of misses that Fess' man shoots. Fes plays defense without fouling inside, and changes/blocks shots. Kosta cleans it all up by getting the boards. In the last two games kosta has played 17:22 and 21:36 mins, and Fes 12:33 and 18:10. One guy is getting killed in the media, but that's not the guy who is shooting the ball every time he is touching it. What do the jazz need? they need a guy to come off the bench to play defense in the paint witout fouling, to get boards, and to block/change shots. who is doing that, or showing that he wants to do it? Fess. 17:41 mpg, 4.8 ppg (50%/53.8%), 5.0 rpg (2.3 off), 0.8 apg, 0.8 spg, 2.0 bpg. if you discount his first game that was horrible his stats are thus: 6.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg (3 off), 0.6 apg, 1 spg, 2 bpg, 1.7 topg, 1.3 pf guys like DJ and PK kill him for not putting up a double double, but how many guys get that in 17 mpg? he takes the shots within the offense, and realizes that he's here to play a role. that role will help the jazz more than a guy who shoots the ball 7+ times in 17 mins and only makes 31% of them -- while having as many blocks as korolev. (2) [and korolev has played 23:30 mins less than Kosta] thanks,
